Jun 21 - 22, 2008, 2008 AAC Alberta/NWT Regional Dog Agility Championships Edmonton, Alberta. Hosted by Spectrum Speed Dogsports Club Officially sanctioned by The Agility Association of Canada and regulated by AAC Distingquished Judges: Phil Zacharatos (Kamloops, BC), Mary Zacharatos (Kamloops, BC) and Patti Wilson (Nanaimo, BC) Ulla (Kalinka's Lora de Verdun), participating in this two-day prestigious event, has accumulated 366.25 points and earned herself an invitational "ticket" to AAC National Competition to take place in New Brunswick. Neither above 35 degrees heat of the Saturday, nor the wall of rain on Sunday could stop our girl's determination to win. Ulla is the first , and so far the only, BRT in Canada to qualify for Agility Nationals. Well done, Ulla! |

| June 14-15, Lloydminster, Alberta. NADAC Agility trial hosted by hot club. Our BRT+BT team had a very successful weekend. Ulla (Kalinkas Lora de Verdun) has earned the second Q in her favorite Hoopers and also earned a second Q and a second place in Elite Standard. Romi honoured the family with two Qs and a Title in Novice Standard(NAC), two Qs in Novice Jumpers NJC) and the second Q in Novice Chances (NCC). Romi also was awarded the Top Novice Agility (medium size) dog prize this trial. Ulla did not get one just because they did not have extra-large ones. | |||||||||||||||||

CH Furry Gunnar Siberian Star, August 27, 2003 - June 14, 2008 We all are well aware that our dog's lives are shorter than ours, but each time we get a dog we try really hard not to remember that, and deep in our hearts we all hope for miracles to happen. It is very sad when your best friend crosses the rainbow bridge leaving you here with a huge empty sore hole in your heart. It is more sorrowful when the beloved furry family member goes way before his time. Gunnar was supposed to turn only five this coming summer, but passed away last Saturday due to agressive form of cancer . 'He was such a happy boy all the time with a big waggy tail, always acting big and tough, but sweet and tender inside. He was such a character with the most special personality"'.We will always cherish the memories of him in our hearts. Our deepest condolences go to his owners Heidi and Philip Holmes. |

We are happy to announce the arrival of two little immigrants from Moscow - two-month-old BRTs Zar Bazan and Zlata Zorjana, the kids of Dagger s Zolotogo Grada and Lara Lott, and the grandchildren of Ledogor is Russkoi Dynastii. Despite a very lengthy and tiresome trip, the pups are doing very well and are easily blending into a new family. The family, though a bit overwhelmed at first with the energetic addition to it, has recovered very soon and started to enjoy the new and very different life style. | ||||||||||||||||
